September 25, I was reading some note about "Astrophotography" this morning and somewhat became interested with the topic. I said to myself, "Why don't I give it a try tonight". Unfortunately, the sky is a bit cloudy and there were no stars around. Only the moon was shining but it is covered by thin layer of clouds though I still managed to get some photos.

All were taken with my Canon 400D and Tamron 18-250 mm lens mounted on a tripod. ISO-100, focus at "Manual" and set on "infinity", manual exposure and focal length is 250 mm.

galing naman. this is a difficult shot for me. haven't been able to capture the moon yet with such clarity.

pano nagawa to pre? sinubukan ko nung nsa hk ako, foreground pa nya yung skyline ng hk, gamit ko yung 70-300mm vr ko. kaso mukhang di stable yung tripod, bumalabs yung moon shot pero ayus yung skyline.

bro, di ko na matandaan. ang alam ko lang naka manual exposure ako then sa shutter speed lang ako naglaro.. the longer the shutter speed, mas blurred ung moon (like the first photo)... pero nung ginawa kong mas mabilis, mas clear sya. another thing, set your focus to infinity. malamang sa skyline ka nag focus kaya ung metering at focus ng camera sa skyline kinuha. try focusing and metering on the moon itself.

bro just remember before you buy the lens.. spend more time reading reviews and asking people who owns it na.. good luck!
